Tone Control party at Public Life, 10/09/05 w/ Kev Beadle

On Saturday 10th September we are proud to welcome Southport 's faithful resident Mr. Kev Beadle to the Tone Control turntables for another installment of soulful basement beats and dance floor banter at Public Life!
Many of you will know Kev Beadle from his compilations, his sets at Southport Weekender and of course, his staple weekly show on Solar Radio. Kev is truly a man of musical experience, spinning the wheels since 1983, Kev started alongside many of the main players in today's much expanded dance scene. Since then Kev's residencies have included a number of legendary nights with Giles Peterson and Bob Jones, not to mention his guest spots all over the world.
Along the way Kev has made major signings such as the Sneaker Pimps and Koop to his own label - the now defunkt Clean Up Records and not forgetting his work on an array of compilations including Nu Jazz Generation for BBE, Capitol Rare's 1-3 on Blue Note, the Essential Argo/Cadet series as well as the best of's for Terry Callier, Grant Green and Lou Donaldson. Kev has produced for the label Dadhouse as TD Project and now co-produces as West London production team Messengers. With a five-year residency at Sosho and eight years under his belt at Southport, including constant guest spots all over, Kev is keeping the vibe very much alive.
Kev Beadle is a perfect guest for the Tone Control dance floor and we're sure your feet will agree!
Lets not forget DJ support from your trusty Tone Control selectors Tom Greig, Simon Finnegan and Maaga Marcus with a sprinkling of soulful vocals from Lady J... It looks like we may just have to run past closing time.
